Friction Reducers
Friction Reducers are implemented in fracturing applications to reduce the required hydraulic horsepower. The most common polymer used is PHPA (Partially Hydrolyzed Polyacrylamide) comprised of a copolymer of acrylamide and another copolymer such as acrylic acid or a sodium salt of acrylic acid. Most polyacrylamides are extremely high molecular weight and anionicly charged. Cationic polymers are sometimes used for higher density brines or produced water applications.
Sunita provides a complete array of products for treatment fluids ranging from fresh water to high density brines and produced waters. These friction reducer products are available as emulsions, slurries or dry products.

HY-SLIC SERIES FRICTION REDUCERS
Sunita offers a proprietary and patented series of Friction Reducers designed to meet specific field and treatment fluid demands and is available as a dry product or a slurry. HY-SLIC is effective in conditions where
(1) High concentrations of Iron are present,
(2) In high density produced waters where an array of difficult ions are present,
(3) In conditions where a crosslinked fluid is desired for at least a portion of the job.
This product can be crosslinked allowing it to act as both a friction reducer and/or a gelling agent and effectively eliminating the need for an additional product on the jobsite. Inquire for more details on this series of products.
