Crosslinkers
Crosslinkers Basics
Crosslinkers are used in oil field fracturing applications to increase the viscosity of gelled fracturing fluids. Guar gum and derivatized guar gum variants such as Hydroxypropyl Guar (HPG), Carboxymethyl Guar (CMG) and Carboxymethyl Hydroxypropyl Guar (CMHPG) can each be crosslinked with either borate, zirconate, aluminum or titanium based crosslinkers. Borate crosslinkers are commonly used with Guar; Zirconate crosslinkers are primarily used with derivatized guars as these combinations are the most cost effective and technically viable solutions.

Sunita Crosslinkers
Sunita offers borate and zirconate crosslinkers as well as a dual crosslinker which combines both in one product. A variety of borate products are offered including both surface and delayed crosslinkers designed for both low and high temperatures. The delayed borate crosslinker is slurried in a BTEX free mineral oil. Another variation incorporates buffer with a surface crosslinker to further economize costs and reduce the number of products delivered to location. Sunita offers zirconium crosslinkers for both high and low pH crosslinked systems.
