SUNCOL products are natural hydrocolloids which is a galactomannan polysaccharide obtained from ground endosperm of the legume Cyamopsis tetragonolobus. Chemically, SUNCOL is a straight chain galactomannan, has a chain of (1→4)-linked-β-D-mannopyranosyl units with single α-D-galactopyranosyl units connected by (1→6) linkages to, on the average, every second main chain unit.
The most important property of SUNCOL products is their ability to hydrate in cold water to attain uniform and high viscosity at relatively low concentrations. SUNCOL products are most cost-effective natural hydrocolloid being used in various food systems.
SUNCOL products can be used in food systems where food requiring the rheology management of its water phases. SUNCOL products are compatible with other additives being used in various food applications and can be used as a stabilizer, thickener, viscosifier, suspension agent, texture and consistency modifier etc.
SUNCOL grades can be used in variety of food products like ice creams, sauce & ketchup, bakery items, noodles & pasta, salad dressing, pet food, canned food, soup, yogurt etc.
