Paraffins and Asphaltenes are organic compounds which are in solution at native reservoir conditions. Fracturing conditions such as an aqueous fluid or thermal cooling can cause these organic compounds to precipitate. The precipitations can plug pore throats and attach to downhole tubulars. SunSolPAW-173 is a highly effective aromatic solvent and solvent-surfactant blend designed to be applied with light hydrocarbons for dissolving asphaltenes, paraffin’s, and heavy hydrocarbon residues. It is a high performing solvent which is a safe alternative to polycyclic aromatics containing heavy metals and chlorinated compounds. SunSolPAW-173 is miscible with most organic solvents.

SunSolPAW-172 is a solvent and solvent-surfactant blend designed for dissolving asphaltenes, paraffins, and hydrocarbon residues. It is a high performing solvent and a safe alternative to xylene, toluene, benzene, and mineral spirits. SunSolPAW-172 is readily biodegradable with no carcinogens, no ODC, no HAP and no harmful acids or caustics.
